NJ Concentrated Cannabis Attorneys
The term "concentrated cannabis" is a legal description of the substance more commonly known as "hashish." Essentially, it's concentrated, solidified resin-derived from the cannabis plant. Hashish is illegal in the United States and in New Jersey, since it contains the trichomes that yield up the psychoactive substance in cannabis technically referred to as delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (a.k.a. "THC").
To produce concentrated cannabis, suppliers (many of whom are based in the Middle East and Asia) collect the resin from a number of cannabis plants and then sieve or otherwise process the resin into bricks or other shapes for sale and transportation. Hashish is typically smoked in a pipe or added to foods (like brownie mix or cake mix) and eaten. Whereas standard marijuana often contains seeds, stems, leaves and other impurities, hashish (at least theoretically) contains none of these impurities and thus should be more potent. The product loses some of its psychoactive properties over time - and experts suggest that an average bar of hashish has a shelf life of five years.
You can be arrested for hashish sale, possession, or processing in New Jersey, and - depending on the circumstances of the arrest, including the amount of concentrated cannabis found on your person - you can be charged with either a misdemeanor or felony.
